Mirae is an AI companion built to support people living with IBD — not a therapist, not a clinician, and not a crisis service. Living with a chronic illness can be hard on your mental health as well as your body, and we want to be upfront about what Mirae can and can’t do when things get difficult.

You’re always told when you’re talking to AI

Any time a conversation touches something sensitive, Mirae shows a clear message that you’re speaking with an AI, not a person. We never want you to be unsure about who, or what, you’re talking to.

We review conversations to improve quality and safety

A member of our team periodically reviews chats to check how Mirae is doing and catch anything that needs attention. This is a quality process, not real-time monitoring. If you’re in crisis, please don’t wait for us to notice. Reach out to the resources below instead.
